About Interfaith Outreach of Carmel

IOC founding:
In May 2007, a group of Carmel area faith communities meet to share the
             outreach activities of their respective community.


IOC supports the faith communities as they participate in outreach    
      activities:

Food Bank for Monterey County
Rice Plus Project
Food Pantries at All Saints' Episcopal Church and Our Lady of Mt.
                Carmel
I-Help of Shelter Outreach Plus
Women Alive! at Dorothy's Place


IOC opens Joining Hands:
September 2010 marks the opening of the benefit shop Joining Hands. Funds
             raised through the shop are designated to support housing needs in Monterey
             County.


Housing grants:
December 2010 marks the first grant of $1000 to Shelter Outreach Plus
     Throughout 2011, a total of $50,000 was distributed in equal amounts to:

Hamilton House of Shelter Outreach Plus
Franciscan Workers, Women Alive!

    In 2012, a total of $50,0000 has been distributed in
